Applying for an Adult Dependant Relative visa
To be eligible for an Adult Dependant Relative visa, the following are the main criteria:
- Your adult dependent relative must be a parent, grandparent, an adult sibling or child
- They must need long-term care to do every day personal and household tasks because of illness, disability or age and this care is not available or affordable in their country of origin
- The sponsoring relative is British or settled in the UK and can support, accommodate and care for the adult dependant relative without recourse to public funds for at least 5 years
If successful, an applicant is granted indefinite leave to enter the UK.
