Upper tier tribunal

The Upper Tier Tribunal is responsible for handling appeals against decisions made by the First Tier Tribunal.

Usually, these decisions relate to:

  • Visa applications
  • Asylum applications
  • Right to enter the UK
  • Right to stay in the UK

The Upper Tier Tribunal also handles appeals for Judicial Review for certain decisions made by the Home Office, usually relating to immigration, asylum and human rights claims.
